In IKEA’s 80th year, it is a privilege to reflect upon our history, from humble beginnings as a small mail-order business to a successful global home furnishing brand. Here in the UK, the first IKEA store opened in Warrington in 1987 and since then we have continued to grow across the country. This year we’ve been working hard to become more accessible, affordable, and sustainable, all while continuing to be led by our vision to create a better everyday life for the many.
